The Computer Science Undergraduate Student Advisory Committee (UgSAC) is an organization representing Computer Science (CS) undergraduates to the faculty of the College of Engineering. UgSAC members are responsible for getting your voices heard. They represent the students at faculty meetings and conduct course and instructor evaluations.
Purpose
The UgSAC is responsible for representing the views of the undergraduate population of the School of Computing to the faculty.
Opportunities exist for students to develop their organizational and leadership abilities through participation in the Undergraduate Student Advisory Committee (UgSAC), which plays an active role in the School by coordinating the following:
- Course and faculty teaching evaluations.
- Representation at faculty meetings.
- Announcements to all declared pre-majors and majors.
- Representation on the College Student Advisory Committee.
- Organization of Engineering Week activities.
- Organization of lunch meetings for pre-majors and majors.
- Organization of university and high school programming contests.
- Feedback on issues affecting students, such as scheduling, curriculum changes, and graduation requirements.
- GRE preparation classes.
Anyone interested in joining this organization should contact UgSAC at ugsac@cs.utah.edu. We hold elections every spring for the following year's members. Participation, suggestions, and criticisms are solicited.
